Spirit Fellowship began in September 2000 as a home church in
the living room of Hugh and Melody Carlson on the Mississippi
gulf coast. Our stated purpose was to promote fellowship with
the Holy Spirit which makes our walk with Jesus much closer and
much sweeter. We now live in Northern Indiana and our church has
changed into a radio ministry. Our first 30 minute "Worship"
program began on the gulf coast in February 2002. Now more stations
have been added and "Worship" can be heard anywhere
in the world via streaming audio on the internet. Only The Lord
could have done this. In fact, we did not plan on a radio ministry
at all. The owners of our first station, WVMI, actually came to
us and asked if we would do a weekly program for them in the style
of their secular news/talk format. And that's what you will hear.
Each program begins with worship music, a conversation between
Hugh and Melody of how they have experienced The Lord in their
lives and how it relates to The Bible. Almost always at the end
of the program an opportunity is given for listeners to ask The
Lord into their hearts and be born again by the Spirit of Jesus
Christ. Remember how
Paul told us in Romans 8.9, "Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of His." We want to bring people
into the Kingdom of God through this program! If you are unable
to hear "Worship", we would be delighted to send you
a cassette tape of two programs free of cost. A list of the programs
appears on the radio programs page of this website. Just drop
an e-mail (info@holy-spirit-fellowship.org) or snail mail (P.O.
Box 94, Kendallville, IN. 46755) to us to request the programs.
The cassettes of them are literally all over the world! If you
would like more than one cassette, we simply ask for a tax-free
donation of at least $5 to cover costs and shipping. Holy Spirit
Fellowship is a non-profit ministry and we send tax statements
to those who support us at the end of each year.
We also ask for your prayer support. Jesus has called us to follow
Him and we endeavor to do that in this radio outreach to a lost
and fallen world. We believe the signs are everywhere (See Matthew
24) that the time is very short before the return of Jesus. We
must all do what we can to reach out to the world. And we must
do it now.
